Dr. Shaffer joined Enochs Eye Care in June 2018. Dr. Shaffer was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania as a mathematics major before transferring to Indiana University in Bloomington. It was here that she entered the accelerated optometric program. She received her Bachelor of Science in Optometry degree in 1995, and her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1997. During her internship, she completed multiple rotations in New York, Virginia, and Texas. After graduation, Dr. Shaffer moved to Hampton Roads, where she has practiced for over 20 years. She currently resides in Chesapeake with her husband and 4 dogs.
